30 representatives of Europe’s leading multi course owning organisations representing over 400 golf facilities worldwide gathered in Cannes at the European Golf Business Conference for the 4th European Multi Course Owners meeting. The meeting mediated this year by Mike Leemhuis CEO of the Congressional Country Club in Washington D.C, gave this unique group an opportunity to discuss realistic solutions to increase rounds, revenues, reduce operating costs and to run more efficient and profitable businesses.

The theme of the European Golf Business Conference “Recreating the Golf Business” resonated throughout the presentations at the meeting. Mike Leemhuis identified the key trends that are greatly influencing the golf industry, highlighting the importance of their integration into a clubs planning process. Keeping on the theme of trends Mike Tinkey Deputy CEO of the NGCOA updated the group on third party tee time resellers in theUS. Mike outlined the NGCOA’s position and best practices which were put together In response to widespread concerns expressed by golf course operators regarding the role & influence of Third Party Tee-Time Resellers.
The European Golf Business Conference is organised by the European Golf Course Owners Association (EGCOA). The EGCOA provides services to support golf course owners in their aims, represents their interests on a European level and improves golf business on a European level. The EGCOA represents more than 900 members in 24 European countries. In 15 countries the National Golf Course Owners Associations are member of the EGCOA.
