Troon’s International Portfolio to Attract Leading Tour Operators

2.25am 7th November 2012 - Exhibitions & Conferences

Troon®, the leader in upscale golf course management, development and marketing will once again be exhibiting at the 2012 International Golf Travel Market (IGTM) in Portugal’s Algarve from 12th-15th of November.

A team of Troon experts will be showcasing the company’s services and outlining how its partnership with high profile properties can facilitate and stimulate business processes, as well as promote fluid and straight-forward transactions.

“The IGTM represents an ideal opportunity for us to instil confidence and trust with business partners from target regions for our properties,” commented International Sales and Marketing Director EMEA, Ian Bulleid. “Our services have been founded on delivering a quality experience around the world to the end consumer. This show is slightly different in so much that we are here to further relations with Tour Operators, but also to detail how Troon can expertly facilitate Operators’ requirements. Ensuring that enquiries are stimulated, transaction processes are fluid and consumer experience expectations are surpassed, outlines what we are here to achieve as a business.”

Troon EMEA, oversees operations at 38 properties in 14 countries, giving the business a unique insight into the global footprint of golf. Troon’s CEO and Founder, Dana Garmany, was recently named Golf Inc. magazine’s Most Powerful Person in Golf, signifying the ever-growing worldwide influence of Troon.

This has been prevalent in the European, Middle-East and African regions, where golf course owners and developers are continually seeking out the expertise of the market-leaders for guidance in creating unique golf experiences. The world’s premier golf travel event, IGTM is therefore the ideal opportunity to meet first-hand with Troon representatives for a unique networking opportunity to discuss Troon’s ability in developing professional and systematic approaches to facility management in the golf industry.

Troon provides a unique opportunity for Tour Operators to link with resorts where course conditioning and customer service are the most important elements. This philosophy enables resorts to maintain premium pricing and ensure good returns for Tour Operators, but also provide the consumer with a great golf experience.

The growth of Troon’s business partnerships includes some exciting new developments, such as the awe-inspiring Lofoten Links, which sits under the majestic Northern Lights in Norway; truly as unique as a project gets in golf. European Tour host venue, Royal Golf Club in Bahrain joins a host of Troon managed facilities with similar championship credentials, whilst Quba Golf Club, Azerbaijan, Bouskoura Golf City, Atlas Golf Resort and Oeud Fes in Morocco add to their strong global presence. The Golfshire Club, Bangalore, and The Track, the ground-breaking floodlit 9-hole golf course in Dubai further demonstrates the international reach of the Company.

A number of Troon-managed facilities will be exhibiting at IGTM, including a strong showing from its ever-growing portfolio in the Middle East. Saadiyat Beach Golf Club and Abu Dhabi Golf Club – host of the European Tour’s Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championships will be located at stand 435. The Els Club, Dubai (stand 304) and The Address Montgomerie, Dubai (441) are also in attendance.

Also flying the Troon flag at the event are Spanish European Tour Qualifying School venues, Las Colinas Golf & Country Club, located just south of Alicante (300), and the impressive Lumine Golf Club & Beach Club, on the Costa Dorada (302). Costa Navarino, Messina, Greece (312), The Allegria, Egypt (310),  Prince’s Golf Club, England (308) and legendary Open Championship venue Turnberry Resort, Scotland (530) will also exhibit.
