Premium Golf Brands (PGB) has announced that Fairway and Greene has reached an agreement with St Andrews Links to become one of a limited number of first class golf apparel brands offered through its retail outlets.
Grahame Jenkins, managing director of Premium Golf Brands – the exclusive distributor of Fairway and Greene in Europe – recognises the importance of this agreement. “It is a great privilege for Premium Golf Brands and Fairway and Greene to be associated with the Home of Golf,” he said. “This deal unites two fine brands and reflects the heritage and reputation that both St Andrews Links and Fairway and Greene strive to maintain.”
Through product innovation, world class customer service and dedication to its founding principles, Fairway & Greene has an enviable reputation which is recognised by leading resorts around the world. Attention to detail, luxurious fabrics and classic design have made Fairway and Greene the success it is today. Its family of fabrics relies on comfort and style, but also diversity. Whether it is fine lisle, baby alpaca, cashmere or the signature Pima cotton and Pureformance blend, golfers feel comfortably stylish wearing Fairway and Greene.
As Danny Campbell, Director of retail at St Andrews Links Golf Shops, explained, it is a shared commitment to excellence that has been the driving force behind this agreement, “St Andrews Links and Fairway and Greene share the same respect for tradition and a desire to promote all that is finest in the game of golf. As we prepare to host The Open in 2010, I am delighted to add Fairway and Greene to our offering at The Old Course Shop and in the St Andrews Links Clubhouse. With our location adjacent to the Old Course it is imperative that we find partners that reflect our commitment to excellence in all we do.”
This new association for Fairway and Greene enhances the brand’s reputation for delivering consistently high standards and reinforces PGB’s position as leaders in the apparel market.
St Andrews Links Golf Shops is a wholly-owned subsidiary of St Andrews Links Trust. All surpluses generated by the company are reinvested in the preservation and maintenance of the historic courses at St Andrews, including the Old Course.
