The future of UK golf is looking good in two ways – not only are talented youngsters competing across the country, but they’re doing it wearing Sub70 golf clothing.
The trendy golf fashion brand has been selected by the British Junior Golf Tour to ensure its members look their best from tee to green. As the organisation’s official clothing partner, Sub70 will be kitting out players representing the tour in overseas competitions as well as offering a range of member benefits and discounts.
Patrick Marshall, executive director of the British Junior Golf Tour, said: “We have some great players within our ranks and now they’ll really look the part thanks to Sub70. The kids want to emulate the pros they see at big events and being able to dress like them gives them a real boost. The Sub70 brand really caters for young, trendy golfers and its extensive junior range means that all of our players are properly equipped for their matches.
“We’re particularly pleased with how the brand has sizes to suit all the young players we work with. The range of heights and sizes needed can make it a real challenge but Sub70 ensures their performance is the best it can be. We’re delighted that Sub70 are on board and the juniors are pleased too as they love the bright colours and stylish designs. Children are the future and now the future definitely looks good.”
The British Junior Golf Tour is the UK’s leading tournament organiser for junior golfers, providing competitive experience through a quality, professionally run, equal-opportunities tour in a safe, friendly and fun environment.
More than 1,000 youngsters compete in a series of 34 events throughout the season with the top players qualifying to represent Britain in tournaments around the world, including World Junior Golf Championships in Jakarta, Indonesia, and the Callaway Junior World Golf Championships in San Diego, California.
One of the first Brits to qualify for this year’s trip to America was 10-year-old JR Ellis from Milton Keynes, who will be delighted to learn of the new partnership as he is already a big advocate of Sub70’s unique style.
Simon Elliott, Sub70’s operations director, explained: “We’ve known JR for a year or so now and were delighted to hear he will be part of the British contingent modelling Sub70 in California.
“His mum was placing regular orders with us and always said how he was progressing and how much he loves the clothes. The better he’s got and the more events he’s played in the more strain there has been put on the family’s resources and we thought we’d help where we can by giving him some outfits. It’s fantastic that he’s doing so well and hopefully along with the other British Junior Golf Tour representatives he’ll do us all proud in America.”
The new partnership follows the expansion of Sub70’s comprehensive junior range which gives youngsters their own choice of funky eye-catching trousers and golf shirts created to the same exacting standards and exciting designs as the adult range, with prices starting at £19.99.
Sub70 has been turning heads on the fairways with its striking designs since launching in 2004 and now youngsters aged eight and up can also enjoy the sort of stylish apparel which has previously been the preserve of adult golfers.
