As the first European Turfgrass Conference drew to a close in Pisa , newly elected President Dr Marco Volterrani congratulated the organising , scientific and editorial teams on the organisation and success of this first European Turfgrass Conference.

During two days 200 scientists, members of the trade and turfgrass professionals came together to meet, exchange experiences and to listen to nearly 80 presentations and posters concerning the latest trends in turf grass science, developments and environmental issues concerning sustainable development.
