Entries invited for ‘Executive Golf Pro-Am Challenge’

The ‘Executive Golf Pro-Am Challenge’ will take place from Thursday 6th to Monday 10th September 2012 at Quinta do Lago resort in the Algarve region of Portugal.

Host to eight Portuguese Opens and other major PGA European Tour events, Quinta do Lago is rated as one of Europe’s premier golfing resorts and is home to three stunning golf championship courses – the North Course, the South Course and the magnificent Laranjal, which was recently voted the best golf course at the Portugal Travel Awards 2011.

Each course boasts breathtaking scenery, unforgettable signature holes and presents different challenges for the discerning golfer.

During this exclusive event a field of 20 Pro-Am teams, each comprising of three amateur players supported and captained by a PGA professionalgolfer, will ‘tee-off’ and play each of the three courses over a three day period in a competitive tournament format with an awards presentation on the final evening.

As well as playing on some of the very best fairways in Portugal each team will receive their own luxury private villa at the exclusive 5 star Palmyra resort and will enjoy four nights accommodation on a double-room single-occupancy basis.

Each private villa in the exclusive Palmyra resort is equipped and furnished to an exceptionally high standard and offers state-of-the-art on-site facilities, including four swimming pools, relaxing health spa, and tennis courts. The Palmyra resort is also located close to the beach and just one kilometre from the bustling marina at Vilamoura with its extensive selection of restaurants, bars, nightclubs and casinos.

Entry to the Pro-Am event is priced at £750 per amateur golfer and includes free transfers ‘to and from’ Faro airport, travel arrangements each day ‘to and from’ the Quinta do Lago resort and free buggy hire for each round of golf. (Flights are not included)

Meanwhile PGA professionals who enter a four-ball comprising three paying amateurs can compete in the event  free of charge. This includes complimentary return flights plus accommodation, transfers and green fees.

The Executive Golf Pro-Am Challenge is open to all individual golfers (all handicaps) and will take the format of a four-ball with a PGA professional golfer assigned to each team for the duration of the event.

Meanwhile invitations are extended to golf clubs across the UK for their professional golfers to participate and arrange a four-ball grouping.

Moreover companies across the UK are encouraged to enter a team and take advantage of the considerable networking and businesses opportunities that can be derived from their participation in the event.

Entries are strictly limited to a field of 20 teams so any interested parties are encouraged to book their places as soon as possible.
