A new Destinations Section on www.europeantour.com has been launched, further strengthening relationships with national and regional tourism authorities, golf clubs and resorts visited on The European Tour International Schedule.
No fewer than 46 countries are represented by the membership of The European Tour and 35 countries have produced champions. In total, 38 destinations have hosted European Tour competition since 1972.
The European Tour International Schedule, which in 2008 visits 26 countries during 53 tournaments, offers players and fans alike an opportunity to experience different cultures from around the world.
Through this thriving schedule, The European Tour has established partnerships with national and regional tourism authorities in addition to a large number of golf clubs and resorts throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Australasia, and the new Destinations Section of www.europeantour.com aims to provide an insight into these countries and regions, highlighting the outstanding golfing opportunities they have to offer.
The official European Tour website, www.europeantour.com attracts over one million unique monthly users, with visitors from all around the world, and through the new Destinations Section, partners will be able to promote themselves through editorial, image and video content.
Wales and Scotland, host countries for the next two ‘home’ Ryder Cups, are the first two partners to join the Destinations Section with more to be added in the near future.
