7.48am 9th July 2008 - Corporate

FlightScope by EDH, a premier portable indoor-outdoor ball-flight and launch monitor and the world’s first-ever 3D tracking radar for golf, has relocated its worldwide sales and marketing division to the Orlando area from its company headquarters in Stellenbosch, South Africa.

Several key FlightScope executives will operate from the new office. Henri Johnson, president and CEO of EDH US, LLC, will spearhead the operation.

“As we build on our worldwide success, we are pleased to relocate our sales and marketing division to Orlando,” Johnson said. “Our global reach is expanding to accommodate increasing demand for FlightScope technology across North America, and our new sales and marketing headquarters will help facilitate that growth.”

FlightScope’s high-level performance and growing success are a reflection of ongoing technological research and development with an emphasis on precision and consistency of results. In conjunction with the company’s expansion plan, additional FlightScope territorial representatives are being hired in the U.S. and Canada.

FlightScope first was demonstrated in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., in 2001 and was introduced at the 2004 PGA Merchandise Show. In addition to its use at high-profile teaching academies and clubfitting venues worldwide, FlightScope is utilized for personal practice by tour professionals and avid golfers devoted to game improvement.

EDH, maker of FlightScope, is a product development company founded in 1989 by Henri Johnson, inventor and electronic engineer, in Stellenbosch, near Cape Town in South Africa. EDH develops products for the defense and sports markets, and has as its core expertise the design and development of 3D tracking radar systems.
