Tommy Gunning for Golf Live Glory

8.35am 16th March 2012 - Exhibitions & Conferences

Visitors to this year’s Golf Live will be able to cut a dash after organisers finalised an agreement for fashion giant Tommy Hilfiger’s golf line to be the show’s official apparel partner.

The top brand’s full array of men’s and women’s clothing will be on show at the London Golf Club from May 18-20 – including its much talked-about SS12 range.

Consumers will have the chance to purchase the latest Tommy Hilfiger Golf clothing from the event’s merchandise area and take part in a series of proposed competitions and giveaways, while celebrity ambassadors are set to be on hand to promote the brand.

And as part of becoming official partner to the event, all the Golf Live staff will be modelling SS12 garments throughout the three-day show.

Jon Camp, managing director of Fletcher Leisure, worldwide licensee of Tommy Hilfiger Golf, said: “Golf Live is a unique event that attracts an audience of keen golfers whose profile perfectly fits the Tommy Hilfiger Golf brand.

“Being aligned with companies, individuals and events with the right brand image is really important for us, so we are delighted to be involved and have absolute confidence that the 2012 event will be even bigger and better than previous years.”

Golf Live event director, James Goode, said: “Tommy Hilfiger Golf is an iconic name which is known throughout the world and we’re delighted to have formed an association that we believe is an ideal match for our event. ”

Tommy Hilfiger Golf brings more than 25 years of apparel expertise to the golf market and has succeeded with its SS12 collection in designing a line that can be worn both on and off the golf course. Although traditionally a cotton-driven category, the company has introduced a vast variety of technical wear bringing it bang up to date with modern-day demands.

The clothing giant is the latest big-name company to commit itself to Golf Live – the biggest interactive event of its kind in the world.

Leading golf manufacturers including TaylorMade, Callaway, Wilson, Cleveland, Mizuno, Yonex and Cobra will all be present to demonstrate their latest equipment on the show’s 30-bay outdoor driving range.

In addition, the likes of Troon Golf, Pebble Beach, Golf Buddy, Archer Golf, Turnberry Resort and ECCO will also be among the impressive cast of exhibitors.

And the quality of the exhibitors is set to be matched by the stellar list of leading players that is being assembled for the show in May.

Event ambassador Colin Montgomerie, South African legend Gary Player, Solheim Cup winning captain Alison Nicholas and Ladies’ European Tour star Melissa Reid are just some of the names to have already committed themselves to the event.

More are set to follow in the build-up to May and, as well as being able to watch, listen to and ask questions of the star-studded cast during the three-day show, people also have the chance to play alongside the Tour professionals with Golf Live’s Heritage Hospitality Package available for just £375 plus VAT per person.

Tickets for Golf Live cost just £20 for adults while under-18s can gain free entry by registering on Golf Live’s website.
