The 56th member of the club is Dan McGrath, from North Foreland Golf Club, inKent. Dan started his career in greenkeeping in 1994 atFotaIslandinIrelandbefore moving to Old Head Kinsale. He moved to Kings Hill Golf Club, secured the position of Head Greenkeeper in 2001. A further move in 2005 took Dan to North Foreland as Course Manager.
He joined the scheme in 2010 and successful completed Stage Three last April.
The 57th Master Greenkeeper is Mike Bush, from St Mellion International. Mike commenced his career at St Mellion in 1995. And was promoted to the role of Deputy Course Manager four years later. Remaining at St Mellion, Mike took up the role of Course Manager in June 2003.
He joined the scheme in 2009 and successfully completed Stage Three last April.
The 58th Master Greenkeeper is Steven Tierney, from Golfpark Nuolen, inSwitzerland. Steven began his career as an Assistant at Fulford Golf Club in 1983. In 1989 he made the move toGermanyto take on a Head Greenkeeper’s role. A further move in 1991 saw Steven relocate toSwitzerlandworking as Head Greenkeeper at Golf & Country Wallenried before taking on his current role of Golf Manager at Golf Park Nuolen, in ‘97 Steven joined the scheme in 1999 and successfully completed Stage Three, last October..
Two additional Members have achieved their Master Greenkeeper Certificate.
Justin Ruiz, from Indian Summer Golf and Country Club, in Washington State, USA, and Curtis Tyrrell, from Medinah Country Club, in Illinois, USA, bring the total number of Master Greenkeeper Certificates awarded to 60.
Justin and Curtis will be awarded their Master Greenkeeper Certificates at the Golf Industry Show in Las Vegas.
