Stewart Golf announce record year

8.11am 9th November 2011 - Corporate

Gloucestershire based Stewart Golf have recorded their best ever year, reporting a 57% increase in sales of their premium golf trolleys, bags and accessories.

Sales of the remote controlled X-Series have increased significantly after a reduction in the RRP to £999 (from £1200) and the inclusion of an all-new lightweight lithium battery as standard. The X7 Lithium was launched in April, and Stewart Golf’s UK production facility has been hard pressed to keep up with demand as sales of the model surged by almost 65% against 2010 figures.

The new Z1 Push trolley has also proved to be a great success, particularly among the retail trade. The Z1 and other products including our W1 Waterproof Stand Bag have helped domestic retail sales increase by almost three times.

Stewart Golf has also seen a sharp rise in exports in 2011. Non-UK business accounted for 30% of sales, up from less than 10% in 2010, proving that the brand has great potential for further overseas growth.

Stewart Golf MD Mark Stewart said: “Obviously we are thrilled with these results, especially in this economic climate where many companies would be content just to survive.

“We expanded our product range significantly for 2011 and this has made a big impact. I am particularly pleased with our growth in retail stores in theUK, where the Z1 Push especially has proved very popular. To triple our UK trade business in one year is fantastic.

“It is also encouraging that the new X7 Lithium has sold so well. It shows that there is always a market for quality & innovation, something that we have always strongly believed in.”
