Direct Golf UK launches Tee Time Booking service

Direct Golf UK – the leading golf retailer – has launched a new online tee time booking service which offers golfers thousands of rounds of golf at significantly reduced rates.

The Huddersfield-based retail giant unveiled www.direct-teetimes.co.uk last week, with green fee discounts that included 64% off at The Hesketh, 57% off at The Kendleshire and 64% off at De Vere Dunston Hall.

The tee times are being provided in a partner programme with Online Teetimes Ltd (OTL), one of Europe’s leading online green fee companies. OTL uses a commission-free model for clubs – and there is no booking fee for golfers – so the company was able to create a bespoke online tee time site for Direct Golf UK.

James Toase, marketing manager of DGUK, said, “We are very excited by the opportunity to help our customers save money off their green fees and we received bookings within minutes of the launch of www.direct-teetimes.co.uk.

“DGUK’s success is built around offering golfers fantastic value on equipment, so it was an easy decision to make to provide them with the same levels of discounts on their golf. And there is no booking fee.”

The new service was launched with a special email broadcast to more than 200,000 UK golfers, which underpins OTL’s promise to its member clubs to distribute their tee times to as wide an audience as possible.

Paul Heeney, managing director of OTL, said, “The ability to push available tee times to golfers is critical in helping our clubs grow their visitor green fee sales. That is why our distribution model has been built to reach golfers across a number of platforms – via email, partner websites and even in-store when they are buying equipment.

Online Teetimes Ltd is the leading internet green fee company. Last year it announced a record 35% increase in online bookings in Ireland, averaging 600 rounds per club, with one club recording more than 1,400 online sales.
