LET partnership with golf club fitting service

12.15am 8th January 2007 - People

The Ladies European Tour (LET) has announced that an official club fitting service will be in operation on the Tour from the beginning of the 2007 season.

WB Golf Club Fitter is an independent club fit and making company founded by Dutchman Walther Bouckaert. The van will be present at a minimum of 10 events a year.

The service will offer a complimentary fitting service to any player participating at a LET event. It is the first time an official club fitting service has been offered to the Tour’s players and it is envisaged that it will prove an invaluable service to them whilst they are travelling.

WB Golf Club Fitter has gained funding from an undisclosed source to enable the company to be present on the Tour. Bouckaert said, “Gaining the funding and attaining the association with the LET has been a great step forward. We are seeking to be able to offer maximum fitting services to the players as well as the complimentary measuring service. We also continue to contact suppliers to this end over the next few months for supporting their components.”

WB Golf Club Fitter also works alongside the Dutch Golf Federation (NGF) and with PGA and EPD players.

The van is fitted with top of the range measuring tools. These measure swing speed, ball flight, spin rate, shaft flex etc. The measuring tools provide high quality information for personal club fitting and making, as well as helping players with their putting skills.

“The new addition of the club fitting van on Tour will be a great added feature for the players and I am sure they will appreciate this resource,” said the LET’s commercial manager Becky Brown.
