This year’s Institute of Groundsmanship Sports, Amenities & Landscaping Trades Exhibition (SALTEX) will take place at Windsor racecourse from 5th to 7th September. Already the organisers are reporting that the show has almost sold out and claim that this is the largest show of its kind in Europe.
IOG SALTEX features the latest equipment, products and developments from more than 400 exhibitors and the Demonstration Area, which covers 25% of the show ground, creates the opportunity to see products put through their paces before making a commitment to buy. Last year’s show attracted more than 15,500 visitors and saw no fewer than 140 new product launches.
As well as focusing on what’s new in the industry IOG SALTEX also celebrates innovations of the past. A special feature at this year’s show is a nostalgic display donated by the Hall and Duck Trust which is guaranteed to draw the crowds. Space has been set aside to remind visitors that however tough the mowing regime may be now it is nowhere near as hard as it was in Victorian times. This Ransomes Sims & Jeffries machine dates back to 1903 and will be demonstrated complete with its original form of horsepower!
Education and training are a vital part of the show. IOG SALTEX features a revamped and revised free seminar programme, hosted by some of the leading names in the industry and offering insights into the latest trends and issues, while the IOG Training and Development Pavilion provides a programme of educational support and information for all professionals in the industry.
