GPS Industries kicks off 2005 with $2.3 m in orders

8.00pm 14th February 2005 - Corporate

GPS Industries, Inc., a leading innovator of Wi-Fi wireless and GPS-enabled multimedia communications and management solutions for golf facilities and residential communities announces an outstanding start to the year with agreements for 11 new golf courses signed in the first five weeks of 2005, representing more than $2.3 million.

“We had a great year in 2004 in terms of establishing our presence and introducing the most advanced Wi-Fi and GPS golf solutions to the marketplace,” comments Robert Silzer, Sr., president and CEO of GPSI. “In 2005, we’re reaping the benefits with just an exceptional adoption rate for our solutions worldwide.”

“We are already ahead of plan for 2005, and the stage is certainly set to more than exceed our expectations,” comments Blake Ponuick, vice president of sales and marketing for GPSI. “It’s great to have this much momentum so early in the year, especially considering we are just at the beginning of our major trade show season and have yet to launch any major marketing efforts. Moreover, we are thrilled with the caliber of the courses we are signing as this is very much a testament to the quality of our products and our hard work over the last year.”

Having just returned from the PGA Merchandise Show and the Golf Industry Show, the GPSI team will be attending three more significant trade shows over the next four weeks:

The Club Managers Association of America’s Annual Exposition, the largest event for private golf clubs (February 27 – 28, 2005)

Fairway 2005, continental Europe’s key trade show for golf courses (March 2 – 4, 2005)

The Crittenden Golf Inc. Show, a specialized event for golf course management companies, developers and architects (March 8 – 9, 2005)

GPSI’s recent sales reaffirm the company’s international product development and marketing strategies with orders coming in worldwide including the United States, Canada and Europe. GPSI’s Inforemer is the only GPS golf business solution specifically designed for the international marketplace and the company owns the patents to GPS for golf in 15 countries worldwide including North America, Australia, Japan and 11 European nations..
