TopGolf Game Centres have appointed PING and PING Collection as their official golf partners for 2005.
Under the terms of the agreement PING will be given a branded custom fitting bay at the TopGolf centres in Watford and Chigwell and at future centres. PING will also feature as TopGolf’s official golf partner in all of the company’s literature, press releases, customer mail shots and signage and will be entitled to run promotional messages on the big screens and ball dispensers at all centres.
In return PING will provide promotional clubs at all TopGolf game centres and will supply logoed PING Collection garments for the use of key TopGolf staff. PING will also supply the services of one of its Tour Staff members at the opening of TopGolf’s third centre.
“We are delighted to have agreed this deal with TopGolf and look forward to what I am sure will be a fruitful relationship for both parties,” said John Clark, managing director of PING UK. “PING has been looking to enhance its profile in the south east of England and this agreement with TopGolf will go a long way to achieving that aim.”
“TopGolf is looking forward to working with PING over the coming months,” said Stephen Lewis, chief executive of Baydrive Ltd, the owners of TopGolf Games Centres in the UK and Eire. “We believe TopGolf is continually setting standards in our area of the golf business and so we have an obvious synergy with a world renowned company like PING.”
TopGolf is a state-of-the-art practice facility where premium golf balls containing tiny microchips are hit from driving bays onto a 250 metre long outfield. The microchip relays the distance and accuracy of each shot to the player’s screen in each bay. The result is a fun, fast moving golf game, which appeals to all ages and abilities of golfers and new players alike.
