FAIRWAY 2005, to be held from 2nd to 4th March, provides golf course architects, consultants, planners, operators, managers, greenkeepers, developers and investors, with the required know-how for planning, realizing, operating and maintaining golf courses.
More than 120 exhibitors from at least 10 countries are expected in two trade fair halls of the M,O,C, event centre in Munich where they will present products and services for golf course planning, construction and maintenance as well as equipping driving ranges, clubhouses and service buildings.
With the extended opening times trade visitors can also take part in the congress program, which begins on Wednesday, 2nd March with two all-day events. One will be the FEGGA workshop “Water Management”, which is being organized by the Federation of European Golf Greenkeepers Association and the other the “Symposium for Golf Managers and Managing Directors” held by the German Golf Association (DGV), which will deal with operating golf facilities.
Innovative IT solutions and risk management are two examples of the topics covered by the symposium.This year the focus will be on decision-makers at existing golf facilities: executive board members of golf clubs and managing directors of operating companies as well as club management.
A permanent component of FAIRWAY 2005 is the Association Forum in Hall 1 with the most important professional associations. Among those represented, there will be the European Institute of Golf Course Architects (EIGA), the German Golf Association (DGV), the Greenkeeper Association Germany (GVD), the Golf Management Association Germany (GMVD) and the Austrian Golf Association (à–GV).
