Pip’s in new post

Surrey based Burhill Golf Club has appointed Pip Elson as its first Director of Golf. Pip already has a very distinguished career in golf; Rookie of the Year in 1973, he was on the European Tour for seven years and latterly he has been a member of the European Senior Tour.
As a senior consultant in the industry Pip has held a number of significant positions, including general manager at Mentmore Golf and Country Club where he helped the owners, Invicta Leisure, develop this very successful club.
Of his new position Pip commented, “I am delighted to be joining such an exciting club with so much history and tradition. For me the priorities are continuing to develop the courses and the coaching here at Burhill. I am particularly looking forward to working with the club’s strong youth group.
Paddy Mitchell, Managing Director of Burhill Estates said, “It is a significant coup to have attracted someone as experienced as Pip. He has a wealth of knowledge derived from his experience across the world and I look forward to him being a key part of the exciting development of Burhill Golf Club.”
