China Fleet Country Club in Cornwall has reinforced its commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability with the installation of a state-of-the-art solar photovoltaic system.
The installation of 400kWh of Solar PV marks a significant milestone in the club’s ongoing efforts to reduce its carbon footprint and promote a greener future. The new system comprises a vast array of solar panels expertly positioned on roof of various buildings at the Saltash-based venue to harness the power of the sun and generate clean, renewable electricity.
By leveraging solar energy, China Fleet CC is expected to achieve substantial energy savings, reducing its reliance on non-renewable resources and significantly decreasing its carbon emissions. The solar PV system will generate a substantial portion of the club’s electricity needs, powering various facilities, including the health club, food and beverage areas, hotel and golf club.
“We are thrilled to introduce this innovative solar PV system at China Fleet Country Club,” said Dean Bennett, the club’s managing director. “This project is a testament to our ongoing commitment to sustainability and our desire to lead the way in environmental stewardship. By harnessing the power of the sun, we are reducing our carbon footprint and making a positive impact on the planet.”
China Fleet worked closely with ZLC Energy, a leading solar energy solutions provider, to design and install the solar PV system. The collaboration ensured that the installation met the highest standards of efficiency, durability, and performance. The project involved extensive planning, meticulous engineering, and the utilisation of the latest solar technology to maximize energy production and minimize environmental impact.
In addition to the environmental benefits, the solar PV installation is expected to result in long-term cost savings for the club. By generating clean energy on site, the club will reduce its reliance on traditional energy sources and mitigate the impact of rising energy costs.
