Nick Dougherty , the Golf Foundation’s new Youth Ambassador, will be coming to the Junior Golf Centre on Tuesday afternoon to play ‘Tri-Golf’ with youngsters from local schools and to launch the Junior Golf Passport. The passport is a comprehensive structured programme that covers core elements of the game and allows youngsters to progress through levels and gain a certificate.

This is just one of several promotions that the Golf Foundation is running at Royal St George’s next week

There will be a grand prize draw supported by Marriott. Prizes include a signed golf bag from a top Tour player as used in the 2003 Open Championship and a weekend break for 2 plus a round of golf at Dalmahoy Golf and Country Club.

Throughout the week, children will be able to take part in the Dunlop putting challenge and Tri-Golf sessions and local schools will take part in Tri-Golf sessions run by the Foundation’s own Regional Development Officers.
