Scottish golf clothing brand Glenmuir has unveiled its list of tour players who will be wearing Glenmuir, Sunderland of Scotland and MacWet golf apparel on tour in 2022.

Long-term Glenmuir ambassador Ian Woosnam will continue to represent the brand on the Legends and Senior Tour, while Stephen Gallacher and Ashley Chesters will be wearing Glenmuir and Sunderland of Scotland products on the DP World Tour for the first time this year.

Two-time Tour winner Aaron Rai will continue to wear MacWet golf gloves on the PGA and DP World Tour, having worn two gloves since the age of seven.

Six-time Tour winner Marcus Fraser, Irish PGA Champion David Higgins, two-time LET winner Flic Johnson and LET winner Carmen Alonso will continue to represent the brands.

Former Amateur Champions Bradley Neil and Nick Marsh continue to be part of the Glenmuir, Sunderland of Scotland and MacWet family. Challenge Tour player Jeremy Freiburghaus and PGA Euro Pro Tour Players Joe Bannan and Steve Robins will also be wearing Glenmuir and Sunderland of Scotland golf clothing this season.

Stephen Gallacher said: “Having been brought up and practiced golf all through my career only 40 minutes from the Glenmuir factory in Lanark makes this partnership a bit more personal for me. Glenmuir and Sunderland of Scotland are two global brands with an unrivalled heritage, humble Scottish roots run by a family and team of loyal people who love golf. Their collection is elegantly crafted, well-made whilst being able to perform at the highest levels of the game in the various climates and conditions of the DP World Tour and I am excited to represent the brands.”

Aaron Rai commented: “I have been wearing MacWet gloves for almost 20 years. I’m the only current full time player who wears two gloves. In 2018, I played in the Hong Kong Open and on the fourth round we had more challenging conditions where it began to rain where the gloves came into their element and I went on to win. In 2020, I was fortunate enough to win the Scottish Open where we had again two days in torrential conditions of wind, cold and a lot of rain and the gloves played a huge role in me performing well that week and going on to win.”

In addition to current tour players, Glenmuir also boasts a group of brand ambassadors from world of sport and TV, including five-time European Tour winner and BBC broadcaster Andrew Murray, TV and radio broadcasters Clare Balding and Jenni Falconer, Instagram influencer Bella Angel and former Scotland National Rugby Player Max Evans.

Mikhel Ruia, Managing Director of Glenmuir, said: “Glenmuir will always be there to dress beginners and professionals alike, of every level and generation, all coming together for the love of the game. That is the spirit of golf. That is the spirit of Glenmuir. We thank all of our family of #GolfersOfGlenmuir for their support on our journey to crafting the world’s most loved golf clothing.”
