The Beeches Golf, based in Knutsford, finally opened its doors on December 3rd 2020. Originally known as ‘The Beeches Farm’, it has been owned and run as a dairy farm by the same family since 1927.
Steve and Brian, Directors of The Beeches Golf, developed this facility to allow their passion of sports to support the farm that is so important to the family. Their stunning new facilities include a brand new driving range, an ongoing build of a par 3 golf course and another ongoing build of an 18 hole adventure golf course.
The Par 3 is designed for all level of golfer and is great for family fun and the adventure golf course aims to allow children to engage with golf and enjoy the outdoor activity with family and friends.
A brilliant and eye-catching new driving range has now been completed, fully kitted out with top of the range equipment including the TrackMan Range, Srixon Balls, TrueStrike Golf Mats and AMS Robotics automated driving range maintenance system.
For a first-class experience, The Beeches installed TrueStrike Mats across the bays which offers a gel filled hitting section that replicates the feeling of playing off a natural fairway. Steve, one of the directors at The Beeches says that the mats have had excellent feedback and they are really happy with them.
The Beeches have a full AMS Robotics Range System installed consisting of a BigMow, BallPicker and a Ball Wash & Return. BigMow and BallPicker work in harmony together day and night cutting the outfield and collecting the golf balls, producing beautifully cut turf and a constant ball supply. The purpose of the installation of the robots was to ensure the ranges brand new surface was cared for by the best equipment. The lightweight nature and continuous operation of the system will ensure the grass is cut and balls are collected daily with little to no stress to the outfield itself, often caused by heavy machinery, especially when paired with bad weather.
Once installed, BigMow worked away cutting the range well Steve said, however unfortunately with lockdown closures and the the weather not playing on side, The Beeches are yet to experience the full benefit of the robotic duo and are very much looking forward to outdoor sports commencing when everyone can play and witness them working away.
