BIGGA members are already booking up education places at Continue to Learn in record numbers.
Continue to Learn at BTME is the leading education programme for greenkeepers in Europe. Its popularity speaks for itself and a month after launch, with more than two months until the education programme begins, the BIGGA Learning & Development Team bookings are at record levels meaning it is likely we will exceed the 7,000 hours of education delivered in January 2018.
Education events that have already been sold out include Sunday’s Fertiliser Programmes from First Principles and Basic Golf Mechanics on Monday.
Due to popular demand, we have added another one-day Surveying Trees – Assessing Risks IOSH Certified workshop.
We have already sold out this workshop on Monday 21 January and a second workshop will now take place on Tuesday 22 January.
Each year we look at ways of bringing something new to the education programme to keep it fresh, while listening to what our members want, through BIGGA’s Members Choice initiative. Through this, BIGGA members tell us what they want to learn about during Continue to Learn, allowing them to shape the most influential education event in the greenkeeping industry in Europe.
With this in mind, the 2019 programme will include three new events in the Deputies’ Conference, the Ecology and Environmental Forum and the Links Forum.
Other workshops will discuss Gadgets & Gizmos, The Disturbance Theory: 10 Years On, Work-Related Stress, while regular favourites such as the Turf Managers’ Conference and the Young Greenkeepers’ Conference will also return.
With almost 250 hours of education scheduled, to be delivered by more than 80 speakers, it’s going to be a packed programme.
