Strong May and June playing figures prompted the average number of rounds played per course in Great Britain to rise by 4% in Q2 compared to the same period in 2022, according to the figures from The R&A’s latest global participation research, conducted by Sporting Insights.

BRS Golf, golf’s leading provider of tee time management booking technology, and GolfNow, the world’s biggest tee time marketplace, have reported a strong start to 2023 for both member play and visitor play in the UK & Ireland.

The National Golf Federation has reported that on-course participation in the United States was up again in 2022, with a net increase of 500,000 golfers to 25.6 million in total.
