ZEST.GOLF has launched a digital golf passport in partnership with the renowned La Rioja region of Spain, famous for its world-class wines and cuisine.

Destination golf in La Rioja is now bookable in one online passport with choices including all four golf courses in the area – Logroño GC, Sojuela, Rioja Alta and Izki Golf.

La Rioja was voted ‘Undiscovered Golf Destination’ by IAGTO members and has established itself as a worthy alternative for golfers looking for gastronomy, wine, culture and excellent nightlife.

Oliver Dury, Executive Director of ZEST, said: “We are extremely excited to partner with another destination to drive regional tourism and golf via our passport. Visitors can now book round bundles of two, three and four courses easily in real time when building their La Rioja getaways.”

David Bedia, Director of Logroño Golf, added: “We want to show the world that our region is a great alternative to consider for your next golfing trip and enjoy everything that comes with La Rioja. We know we are a niche destination, and we have serious credentials when it comes to gastronomy, wine and also golf.”

He added: “The Spanish Professionals Championship is a regular recurring event at Logroño and attended by José Maria Olazabal and Miguel Angel Jimenez. Izki was designed by the great Seve Ballesteros and is undoubtedly one of his best, while Sojuela and Rioja Alta all provide a different experience, ensuring a diverse golfing experience.”

Logrono Golf Club is one of four courses on offer in the La Rioja region of Spain

ZEST’s golf passport is available for multi-course packaging and is designed to help regions easily promote their golf offerings online.

Jo Maes, ZEST Commercial Director, added, “Our passport is really gaining traction with regional tourism boards; first with Visit Cascais and then Barcelona Golf Destination, and now we’ve added the premier region of La Rioja. We’re excited to play a part in growing tourism and bringing more value to these regions.”

The ZEST passport provides golfers and distribution channels the ability to create and book different combinations of golf courses in one transaction. Supported by the ZEST Payment Solution powered by Stripe Connect, this proprietary technology automatically reserves tee times and collects and distributes payments between golf courses, without monies being touched by ZEST, for reliable and frictionless efficiency for consumers and businesses.
