Your Golf Travel has strengthened its status as Europe’s largest golf tour operator after forming an exclusive alliance with Golfresan Media – the biggest golf travel media company in Scandinavia.
Under the terms of the new partnership, the London-based firm will work with Golfresan to give golfers inScandinavia,Germany,AustriaandSwitzerlandthe chance to take advantage of a wider range of affordable and inclusive golf breaks.
In return for providing Golfresan with access to its product – including UK and Ireland, short haul Europe, long haul travel, special events and tournament packages – Your Golf Travel’s packages will be promoted on Golfresan’s Swedish and German language websites.
In addition to marketing Your Golf Travel’s products in Scandinavia, Germany, Austria and Switzerland, both online and through print material and events, the Swedish company will also provide an online booking portal to process sales and customer service and sales lines at its Stockholm office.

Germanyand Scandinavia are two of the most important travel markets inEurope. Recent research showed that the German-speaking sector has the second largest number of registered golfers on the continent (811,610), withScandinaviaclose behind in third place with 779,164 players.
In addition, the survey – carried out by Reed Travel Exhibitions – found that more than 85 per cent of golfers in Scandinavia andGermanyhad taken a ‘non-domestic’ golf break over the last 12 months, compared to 79 per cent of golfers in theUKandIrelandand 70 per cent inFrance.
Golfresan, known as Travelcaddie for English and German speakers, was launched in 2002 and has grown to have representatives inPortugal,SpainandGermanyas well asSweden.
It has websites in Swedish, German and English and its activities include the production of golf travel magazines, the organisation ofScandinavia’s biggest amateur competition, newsletters and visitor fairs at events including the Scandinavian Masters.
