Chateau d’Augerville, a leading member of the Châteaux & Hôtels Collection and steeped in French history, has recently added to the already impressive array of sporting and leisure facilities at the Resort near Fontainebleau, France with the eagerly anticipated unveiling of the new Spa.

At the opening celebration, local VIPs and dignitaries and media from around Paris were given a sneak preview of the impressive array of treatments and thermal experiences which are now available on a daily basis to both residents and locals alike.

The arrival of Troon® to manage the golf element of the 15th Century property coincided with ambitious investment by the owners to enhance the quality of facilities in every area. The Chateau’s golf course managed by the leader in upscale golf course management, development and marketing, has led the way with considerable improvements to the overall presentation and conditioning of the 18-hole layout, investment in machinery, a new golf shop and Academy refurbishment.

Speaking at the launch event, Jon Schauder, Director of Business Development, Troon International Division, was delighted with the proceedings commenting: “The new Spa is a fantastic addition to the already exemplary offering at Chateau d’Augerville, it is creating the ideal retreat for golfers, couples and small groups.

“With the improvements to the golf course, coupled with the venues stunning dining, in-house chocolatier, delightful rooms and ease of access from all European hubs, I have no-doubt the Chateau will be a firm favorite with golfers and non-golfers alike for years to come.”

Situated around a central courtyard, the new haven of relaxation at the historic property has been created for year-round use and features a number of well-appointed treatment rooms and relaxation areas. Every detail has been considered to incorporate the local environment alongside two unique Spa partners, Carita and Decleor, offering the perfect combination of high-tech vision care and unique aromatherapy and essential oils.

On behalf of Chateau d’Augerville, its Director Lucie Leguille-Mahon also commented, “We are extremely pleased to unveil our new Spa facility to the public. With this several million Euros’ investment, we have worked tirelessly on every detail to ensure nature and the surrounding countryside are a fundamental part of the experience. The opening has been very well-received by our guests and we look forward to welcoming international visitors for many years to come.”

Carefully created by the venue and ideal for a romantic stay or after a game of golf, the new spa includes six treatment rooms with an extensive massage menu, including sports specific treatments. The Spa also features steam and sauna areas with specific thermal and ice rooms, as well as hydro-massage spaces and an “aqua-musical” experience to complete the offering that makes this a wonderful addition to the already impressive facilities.

Situated just an hour south of Paris, the 40-bedroomed Chateau features an 18-hole golf course, which was created by architect Olivier Dongradi in 1995, an accompanying golf academy as well as a boutique to sell the Chateau-made Chocolates and a new restaurant particularly aimed at the golfers and spa users.
