Trick shot specialist becomes golf ambassador for Heritage Resorts

2.41pm 8th February 2021 - Travel

Heritage Resorts in Mauritius has appointed PGA Professional and former European Tour player David Edwards as a golf ambassador for Heritage Golf club and its three 5-star properties.

Edwards is a popular figure in golf circles and is now running a successful Golf Trick Show and providing on-course golf commentary at events, after his career as a professional player.

His remit is to develop alliances with UK golf clubs with Heritage Resorts, with a view to offering bespoke golf holidays and golf competitions in Mauritius to members.

Located in the southern part of the beautiful island of Mauritius, Heritage Resorts’ 18-hole course is set on an idyllic piece of land between rolling mountains and the turquoise lagoon of the Indian Ocean. Accompanied by beautiful vistas from every green and tee, it is one of the most spectacular courses in Mauritius and was recently voted Winner of the ‘Indian Oceans Best Golf Course’ for the seventh time by the World Golf Awards.

Edwards said: “As a PGA Professional, former European Tour player, and also having travelled to many destinations around the world with my Golf Trick Show, I soon realised that Heritage Golf Club and Heritage Resorts were something very special. I am delighted to be an ambassador and would have no hesitation in recommending the resort and its excellent golf course. I can understand why the European Tour along with the Sunshine Tour & Asian Tour hosts the co- sanctioned AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open at this superb venue which I regard as a golfing gem in Mauritius.”

Adjacent to the golf course are sister properties Heritage Awali Golf & Spa Resort, Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort.

Any UK golf clubs interested in talking to David about an alliance can contact him directly at enquiries@david-edwards.co.uk.
