Sir Rocco Forte Announced as Guest of Honour at inaugural Elevate Golf event

Legendary hotelier Sir Rocco Forte has been unveiled as the special guest of honour at a unique new B2B event showcasing the very best in high-end golf tourism.

Delivered by industry experts with more than 20 years’ experience, Elevate Golf is tailored at connecting golf’s elite. Taking place at the Old Course Hotel, St Andrews, from October 27-31, the invite-only event will be attended by the finest golf courses, accommodation providers and international tour operators.

Following five days of networking opportunities, the event will conclude with a golf tourism celebratory gala dinner. During the evening, Forte will take part in a special Q&A with SKY TV presenter and broadcaster Di Stewart, with attendees getting to hear his thoughts on various topics in the luxury hospitality sector.

Established in 1996 by Forte and his sister Olga Polizzi, Rocco Forte Hotels is a collection of 14 individual hotels, resorts, residences and villas worldwide. In the UK, the group owns esteemed venues Brown’s Hotel in London and The Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh – with representatives from the latter set to be one of 100-plus suppliers at Elevate Golf taking part in bespoke appointments with the world’s best international tour operators.

A keen golfer with a real passion for the sport, Forte is no stranger to the world of high-end golf tourism with his Verdura Resort development in Sicily – which opened in 2009 – in the upper echelons of European golf resort rankings.

Speaking ahead of Elevate Golf, Sir Rocco Forte said: “I’m privileged to be asked to take part in the first ever Elevate Golf event at the Old Course Hotel.

“Being able to share my story with all those present and talk about hospitality gives me great joy, and I cannot wait to meet so many driven and likeminded individuals this autumn.”
