Fans of golf, horse racing and live music will have a unique opportunity to indulge their passions through the ‘Three for One’ promotion run jointly by The Senior Open Championship and Epsom Downs Racecourse.
For just £40, customers can enjoy a day watching Senior Tour stars such as former Open Champions Tom Watson and Sandy Lyle at the 25th edition of The Senior Open Championship, played at Walton Heath Golf Club from July 21-24, and gain admission to any one of the five ‘Epsom Live!’ events held at the nearby racecourse in June and July.
The ‘Epsom Live!’ experience combines top quality horse racing over the Derby course with concerts from world famous bands such as Texas (June 30), Beach Boys (July 7), Scouting for Girls (July 14), The Wanted (July 21) and Blondie (July 28).
The performance by The Wanted coincides with the opening day of the Senior Open Championship, meaning that spectators can follow the fortunes of former Ryder Cup Captains Sam Torrance and Ian Woosnam as they go in search of their maiden Senior Open title, and then make the short journey to Epsom Downs Racecourse to catch the racing before rounding the evening off with the concert.
Andy Stubbs, Managing Director of the European Senior Tour, said: “The Three for One promotion is the perfect package for all golf, horse racing and music lovers. To get the opportunity to watch some of the golfing greats in action at the Senior Open Championship and enjoy an evening of horse racing and music at Epsom Downs is too good an opportunity to miss.”
Rupert Trevelyan, Managing Director for Epsom Downs Racecourse, commented: “We are thrilled with the link-up between Epsom Downs Racecourse and The Senior Open Championship, and believe it is a great partnership across the two sports. The ticket price offers great value for anyone who is hoping to attend both events.”
Tickets are available now by visiting www.epsomdowns.co.uk, or calling 0844 579 3004.
The Senior Open Championship is owned by The R&A and European Tour and jointly sanctioned as a Senior Major by the European Senior Tour and the US Champions Tour.
The first Senior Open Championship was played at Turnberry in 1987, and was won by Neil Coles of England.
Advance tickets are now on sale at discounted prices to see the returning 1981 Ryder Cup players at Walton Heath Golf Club as part of the 25th edition of The Senior Open Championship.
