A brilliant week in the Granite City as SGTW brought together the golf tourism industry once more for over 3,700 face to face meetings, golf days, excursions and many other networking opportunities.
Since its launch in 2016, Scottish Golf Tourism Week has gone from strength to strength, creating tens of thousands of face-to-face business meetings and thousands of familiarisation trips, welcoming buyers from five continents across the globe.

Canada, South Africa, Spain and Australia; the USA, Argentina, Norway and Portugal – these are just some of the countries that have been represented this week at Scottish Golf Tourism Week. This year, we have welcomed over 101 Scottish businesses and 94 top international golf tour operators representing over 45 nations from all around the world.
The special evening is all about highlighting the very best of golf in Scotland. From golf courses to clubhouses, hotels to off-the-course experiences, and all points in between, it’s a celebration of the country that gave golf to the world.
The awards exist to celebrate the outstanding achievements within the Scottish golf tourism industry by recognising the finest courses, hotels and experiences that have helped shape Scotland’s reputation as a world-class golfing destination. The awards were hosted by BBC TV and radio presenter, Jason Mohammad who commented “What a wonderful evening”.

During the ceremony, Michael McEwan, Head of Content at bunkered, spoke about the current campaign to save Dalmuir Golf Course, and by extension, public golf courses in general across Scotland. The reaction in the room to his words was brilliant, as many industry leading individuals and businesses offered their support to the campaign, including the evening’s host BBC sports presenter Jason Mohammad.
This year’s 14 award winners were all chosen by an expert panel of independent judges from across the industry.
