Quinta do Lago offers long-term winter rentals for ‘digital nomads’

4.07pm 3rd December 2020 - Travel

Golfers and business professionals looking to see out the UK winter under Portugal’s sunny skies are being invited to stay at Quinta do Lago Resort, which has an array of self-contained cottages and apartments for long-term lettings.

With almost 50% of employed adults in the UK working from home this year, there is a rising trend in people looking to maximise this flexibility and carry out their job from the luxury of a sunnier climate.

Quinta do Lago has created two long-term rental packages, designed to provide all budgets and guests with a smooth work set up, along with access to everything the resort has to offer – providing the perfect work, life balance and an escape from the cold British winter.

These packages are available at The Magnolia Hotel when staying in one of their boutique cottages and also the new luxury development, Reserva.

Quinta do Lago is a renowned sporting and wellness destination situated in the heart of the Algarve, just 15 minutes from Faro airport – with quick connections back to the UK. The high-end resort encourages guests to spend time outdoors and offers inviting temperatures of around 17°C throughout the winter months, along with relaxed accommodation and a selection of top-quality restaurants boasting a varied and healthy cuisine.

Taking care of your physical and mental health has never been more important and multi-sports hub, The Campus, provides easy access to an active lifestyle with fitness classes tailored to every level, fun group activities and relaxing spa facilities. Start your day right with a morning’s hit class, sauna and juice shot, embark on your lunchtime walk along the golden coastline and finish your day with a relaxing cycle ride through the Ria Formosa Natural Park.

Mark McSorley, General Manager of Hotel & Residences at Quinta do Lago, comments: “Quinta do Lago is the perfect home-office, but we offer much more than high speed internet and a spacious working environment. Here our guests can really have the healthy relationship with work which we all aspire to – and many have struggled with this year.

“Our resort has a unique sense of community, so guests and residents alike can unwind with a fitness class at The Campus or a round of golf of an evening. We also have an incredible team, looking to make our guests working day that little bit easier, along with a lovely climate which encourages you to get outside and spend time in nature.”

The Magnolia Hotel is launching new ‘Work & Play’ packages offering guests a 30% discount on their standard cottage rates throughout the winter season. Guests working from the two-bedroom wooden cottages, situated a short distance away from the main hotel, one of the two bedrooms can be transformed into the dream home office with the necessary amenities and high-speed broadband to get you up and running. There is also a spacious kitchen, bright lounge area and private patio.

The 2-bedroom cottages have plenty of space to set up a work station

Guests will also receive complimentary access to the hotel’s outdoor pool and tennis court, vintage Dutch bikes, a 10% discount at The Campus and special guest rewards at the resort’s restaurants and retail partners. As part of providing a seamless remote working experience, The Magnolia Hotel is also offering housekeeping and laundry services.

The ‘Work & Play at Quinta’s Cottages’ packages starts from £2,135 per month at the Magnolia Hotel (; (+351) 289 390 705). For stays from November 30 to March 28, guests can enjoy a 30% discount on cottage room rates for stays over 14 consecutive nights or more.  For bookings, email
