PGAE forced to abandon Antalya

Due to the ‘extreme nature‘ of the protest by former employees of the Don Miguel Hotel, the sister hotel of the Atalaya Park Hotel, where the PGAs of Europe Congress is being held this week, the PGAs of Europe International Team Championship, supported by Glenmuir, has been reduced to a 36-hole championship at San Roque New Course

Due to the ‘extreme nature‘ of the protest demonstrations that caused the abandonment of the first day of the PGAs of Europe International Team Championship, the event has been reduced and switched from Atalaya Park to a new venue.
The first round of a 36-hole championship will now take place on Friday, December 10 at San Roque New Course following a practice day today
The protesters, who are in dispute with the hotel owners over unpaid wages when the Atalaya Park’s sister hotel, the Don Miguel, was forced to close in October, have also staged demonstrations in and outside the Atalaya Park Hotel but special security arrangements have ensured that the Annual Congress is so far proceeding as planned
