Portugal’s Onyria Marinha Boutique Hotel has officially begun an exciting new chapter as it becomes Onyria Marinha Cascais, Vignette Collection by IHG.
As well as rebranding to join the globally renowned IHG Hotels & Resorts portfolio, the property has undergone a thoughtful evolution in design, purpose and guest experience – all while staying true to the hotel’s identity within the Cascais community.
In partnership with UK-based interior design studio Goddard Littlefair, several areas of the hotel have been renovated. Drawing inspiration from the nearby Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, the updated interiors now embrace a softer, more organic elegance in both rooms and public spaces.
Aligned with Vignette Collection’s global “A Means for Good” initiative, Onyria Marinha Cascais has also announced a meaningful partnership with REFOOD Cascais, a local charity dedicated to reducing food waste and combating hunger. Key initiatives in this partnership will include including daily food donations from the hotel’s surplus, a new signature dessert by chef Mathilde inspired by local sweets – with proceeds benefitting REFOOD – and a variety of charity events and golf lessons for children supported by the association.
As with every Vignette branded venue, Onyria Marinha Cascais will offer a signature daily ritual – which will take the form of Roots & Senses, a calming, sensory journey inspired by nature. Guests are invited to the lobby at 10am each morning for guided breathing exercises, light self-massage using essential oils, a revitalising juice and a moment of grounding and mindfulness.
Despite the elevated international positioning, the venue remains owned and operated by the Onyria Group, a family-run Portuguese company known for its deep-rooted hospitality and commitment to excellence.
