Golfers can now stay and play at North Foreland Golf Club after the seaside venue secured a partnership with local hotel, The Pegwell Bay, just in time for an influx of visitors to East Kent.
With The Open Championship taking place just 13 miles along the coast at Royal St George’s in July, and post-lockdown domestic travel set to be popular this spring and summer, the 36-hole venue has teamed up with the four-star hotel to offer stay-and-play breaks for UK golfers.
Staycations are set to be the theme of 2021, with people still wary to travel abroad, yet still desperate to get away after months of being cooped up at home.
And with the start of the new golf season, the increase in daylight hours, The Masters and The Open Championship coming up, as well as the fact golfers haven’t been able to play for months, the boom in the sport’s popularity is set to continue following the third national lockdown.
There aren’t many better destinations in the UK for avid golfers, with both the hotel and the golf course located on the picturesque Kent coast, offering stunning clifftop views and a combination of high-quality golf, delicious dining options and excellent accommodation.
Packages start at £208 per person for a one-night stay at The Pegwell Bay, two rounds of golf at North Foreland, with breakfast and dinner included. A two night-stay with two rounds will cost £251 per person and also includes breakfast on both mornings and dinner on one evening. For those looking for a longer trip, three-night, three-round packages are also available from £319 per person with breakfast on each morning and dinner on two of the evenings included.
Bespoke packages and longer stays are available on request and extras such as rounds on the par-three Northcliffe Course, coaching with PGA professionals, as well as lunch or dinner in the club’s Lighthouse Brasserie, can be added.

North Foreland boasts two courses – the Main Course and the Northcliffe Course – complemented by top-class clubhouse facilities to match, with the Lighthouse Brasserie and Bar offering panoramic views of the sea.
Renowned for its fast-running fairways and greens, along with coastal views, the 6,436-yard, par-71 Main Course is a fantastic test for all golfers – with the open front nine holes being contrasted with the tighter back nine and a mixture of strategically-placed bunkers and broad fairways.
The 18-hole par-three Northcliffe Course is perfect for those newer to golf, families or more experienced players looking to hone their short game on holes that vary in distance from 50 to 140 yards and the club is also home to excellent practice facilities and tennis courts.
North Foreland’s golf courses will reopen on March 29, with The Pegwell Bay reopening for overnight accommodation on May 17 – meaning these packages will be bookable from this date onwards.
