Guests at Gloria Hotels & Resorts in Belek can enjoy an enhanced golf and leisure experience following the unveiling of the refurbished five-star Gloria Serenity Resort and new Gloria Golf Training Academy at the Turkish resort.

As part of an extensive multi-million euro upgrade, Gloria Serenity Resort’s meticulous redesign – inspired by guest happiness – has seen all 367 rooms and villas upgraded at the five-star hotel, as well as the introduction of a number of new àla carte restaurants, a bakery, an ice-cream parlor and a kids club.

A second lobby with three sea-view terraces has been built, while new mirror TV systems have been inputted in all rooms to create larger living spaces. Locker rooms with shower and dressing facilities for use after check-out has also been introduced, as has new modern gym equipment.

Yunus Özdemir, vice-chairman of the board at Gloria Hotels & Resorts, said: “We are delighted to be reopening our doors at Gloria Serenity Resort following an extensive redevelopment project.

“With the new gastronomy offerings, upgraded rooms and villas, and so much more, an already incredible stay at the resort has been enhanced further. We have already received great feedback from our first guests and cannot wait to welcome even more holiday-goers in the future.”

Further investment has also seen Gloria Golf Club – a pioneer for Turkish golf – open its Gloria Golf Training Academy, the nation’s first facility of its kind.

PGA-qualified professionals at the stunning 45-hole complex, as well as a dedicated physical performance coach, will work alongside each individual player to improve every aspect of their game – all in tandem with an unrivalled line-up of specialised equipment and state-of-the-art technology.

Facilities awaiting players include 48 Trackman-equipped and six uncovered driving range bays, as well as 18 practice greens for putting, bunker play and pitching. The academy clubhouse houses Turkey’s first hi-tech putting centre, integrating PuttView, PuttView X and Quintic technology.

An on-site club-fitting centre – alongside a fully-equipped repair and customisation workshop – will help players find and perfect the clubs to take their game to the next level. Golfers can also benefit from the guidance of a qualified golf psychologist and rules training from a DP World Tour-qualified referee or use the private gym or golfers’ lounge facilities.

David Clare, director of golf at Gloria Golf Club, said: “As the only 45-hole golf club in Turkey, we think it’s crucial that we have truly world-class facilities and staff to help golfers – at any level – who want to develop.

“We’re fortunate to have three excellent courses and have significantly added to our pre-existing practice facilities in recent years, leading to the creation of what we believe will be one of Europe’s leading golf academies.”

A short drive from Antalya International Airport, Gloria guests are spoilt for choice in accommodation, with three luxurious five-star resorts on the beach: Gloria Golf ResortGloria Verde Resort and Gloria Serenity Resort.
