North & West Coast Links Golf – Irish links golf marketing specialists – with over 18 years experience in marketing Irish Championship Links Golf around the world – has announced that Narin & Portnoo Golf Club, a championship links course established nearly 80 years ago, has joined the elite group.

Narin & Portnoo Golf Club is located along the Donegal coastline, just 30 miles from Donegal town. Narin & Portnoo have recently re-developed the course, under the watchful eye of Eddie Connaughton. It is now a challenging par 73 with the new holes running to the ocean. The club have also just begun to develop a new clubhouse, budgeted for approximately €2m which is an essential part of their new plans. The clubhouse is set to open in June 2008.

The club has appointed a head professional – Conor Mallon – who is very excited about his new role. “This is a most beautiful part of the world, with unspoilt coastline, idyllic beaches and a championship links course with enormous potential,” he said.

The club is very keen to develop its green fee business and lead by past captain Conal Keeney, the decision was made to join North & West Coast Links Golf. It was seen as an ideal opportunity to join an established team already exposing golf in the area to the world market. The club looks forward to the support of the other Championship Links courses in the organisation as their development comes to fruition.

Narin & Portnoo join fellow North & West Coast Links members – Ardglass, Royal Portrush, Portstewart, Ballyliffin, Portsalon, Rosapenna, Donegal, Co. Sligo, Enniscrone, Carne and Connemara in this elite alliance.
