Leading Spanish hotel company, Meliá Hotels International has added a luxury resort to its portfolio. Situated along the cliffs of Teno in the North West of Tenerife, the property is surrounded by an 18-hole Buenavista golf course designed by legendary Spanish golfer Severiano Ballesteros. The hotel has been adapted to Meliá Hotels & Resorts’ brand standards and renamed Meliá Hacienda del Conde.
Meliá Hotels International has taken over the hotel from the Vincci Group, formerly known as Vincci Buenavista Golf & Spa. The project has been supported by the island authorities over the past few years, and has now been acquired by the company Nueva Isla Baja.
Designed for adults only, Meliá Hacienda del Conde is an idyllic retreat surrounded by a protected nature reserve, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The resort has been designed and decorated in traditional Canary Islands colonial style.
Meliá Hacienda del Conde offers 117 spacious, elegant and fully-equipped rooms, from 40 m² upwards, as well as a magnificent Yhi Spa, with treatment rooms, thermal circuit and a full gym. The hotel provides a large lagoon-style pool and sun terraces overlooking the sea, as well as the golf course.
Meliá Hacienda del Conde boasts the exclusive The Level service, offered by Meliá Hotels & Resorts, providing guests with a VIP experience, including superior rooms, reserved lounge areas within the resort, private breakfast room and priority check-in, Loewe premium-brand bathroom amenities and a pillow menu, as well as other privileges.
Meliá Hacienda del Conde has a stylish, à la carte restaurant that combines local tradition with more international flavours, as well as a grand buffet restaurant offering an extensive range of cuisines. It also includes a restaurant, poolside bar and an indoor café serving the finest coffees and teas.
The luxury resort caters for events and meetings, with six spacious, naturally lit rooms equipped with the latest technology.
Gabriel Escarrer, Vice Chairman and CEO of Meliá Hotels International, thanked the new owners, Nueva Isla Baja, for their trust in the Meliá Hotels & Resorts brand and expressed his confidence about the success of the new property. He added: “With the addition of this hotel in a magnificent location on the island of Tenerife, Meliá Hotels International confirms its leadership in the luxury resorts segment and takes on the challenge of positioning the North West of Tenerife as a new go-to destination for superior quality tourism in both the leisure and convention segments.”
