Volcano Pool at Lumine Golf Club

Lumine Golf Club in the Costa Dorada region of Spain is fast-becoming one of the most highly sought-after leisure destinations in Europe, as it continues to expand on the diverse range of activities available at the all-encompassing resort. The explosive launch of the new Volcano Pool Beach Club will certainly add to its glowing reputation, with the venue’s most recent ground-breaking innovation perfectly complementing the existing world-class facilities on-hand for golf and leisure purists.

The Volcano Pool Beach Club will be open daily from midday until 9pm, as guests bask in the sunshine on Spain’s east coast. DJ’s will provide perfect background music for those relaxing by the pool or beach, while others will take advantage of exquisite food available in the BBQ zone. The resort is unquestionably one of Europe’s most comprehensive leisure developments, including 45-holes of golf, two clubhouses, several restaurants serving local cuisine and a host of other first-class amenities.

“We’re creating something truly unique here at Lumine with the aim of providing an unparalleled array of activities to suit people of all ages,” commented Calle Carlsson, General Manager, Lumine Golf Club. “Whether you’re a thrill-seeker or just looking for somewhere to relax, a group of twenty people or a couple on a romantic break, Lumine has something to offer. The Volcano Pool Beach Club adds yet another dimension to Lumine, by providing a vibrant area for our guests to escape the rigors of daily life.”

The Volcano Pool Beach Club will undoubtedly provide an ideal accompaniment to Lumine’s impressive golf offering. The resort features 45-holes, The Lakes Course, a links-style 18-hole championship course designed by golfing legend Greg Norman, with several water hazards that wind around the Sèquia Major wetlands. While The Hills Course, Lumine’s second championship course, runs through white pine trees and offers spectacular views of the nearby coastline. Completing the golf offering is the 9-hole Ruins Course, another Greg Norman design, uniquely laid out amongst Roman archaeological remains from the second century BC.

The venue was also recently selected to host the EuropeanTour Qualifying School towards the end of 2012, highlighting its quality conditioning, which is managed by the world’s leading golf management company, Troon. The tournament will welcome some of Europe’s most promising young stars embarking on their journey to gaining a full European Tour Card for the 2013 season.

Lumine is a company which belongs to the La Caixa Bank. In turn Lumine Golf Club is managed by TROON GOLF, the largest golf course management company in the world. The complex fulfills all environmental criteria for responsible water management and conservation of fauna and flora. As a result Lumine Golf Club was the first course in Spain to be awarded the “Gold Signature Certificate Sanctuary” by Audubon International.
