Kinross booked in for great things

12.15am 9th October 2007 - Travel

Visitors planning to play at Kinross can take advantage of the internet tee-time reservation service to secure a starting slot from anywhere in the world. This means that tee times can be booked at www.golfkinross.com – be they for visitors, societies or golf breaks – with the course generating on-screen and e-mail confirmations of bookings at the touch of a button.

But the new, hi-tech way to ensure tee times on either of Kinross‘ two exceptional golf courses – The Bruce and The Montgomery – is just the tip of the progress iceberg at the Kinross-shire golf resort, which is located just off Junction 6 of the M90.

Nestling in the beautiful town of Kinross close to Loch Leven and bordering Fife, Perthshire and Clackmannanshire in the heart of Scotland, the Montgomery Hotel Group is in the middle of a dazzling refurbishment programme. Work has already been completed on the changing rooms within the clubhouse, the golf professional shop and there is ongoing refurbishment at the site’s two hotels.

As well as these cosmetic changes, Kinross’ golf courses have become the first north of the border to introduce Prolink, one of the world’s leading GPS systems, into its golf buggies.

Janette Napier, the business development manager at Kinross, said: “We are in the middle of an upgrade that we are sure will significantly enhance your experience at Kinross on and off the golf course.

“Our family-owned three-star and four-star hotels – The Green and The Windlestrae – already offer first-rate accommodation and everything you need for a lovely stay, with their friendly staff, fabulous restaurants and food, excellent leisure facilities, and spacious and comfortable rooms.

“And the two 18-hole parkland golf courses at Kinross, which are owned and operated in conjunction with the adjacent Green Hotel and Windlestrae Hotel, are already considered by many to be two of Scotland’s hidden gems. The improvements we are making can only enhance that view further, and we are working hard to make sure that is the case.”

Ideally situated, Kinross lies just 20 minutes by car from Perth, 30 minutes from Edinburgh and an hour from Glasgow.
