Greywalls, situated on the edge of world famous Muirfield golf course and just forty minutes drive from Edinburgh is opening its doors this May with a new Chez Roux restaurant by legendary chef Albert Roux.
Designed by Edwardian architect Sir Edward Lutyens in 1901, Greywalls Hotel has stayed true to its roots and today retains the original classical style for which it is renowned. Surrounded by golf courses, the house offers 23 en suite bedrooms, warm and inviting public areas including a dedicated whiskey room and traditional style library, elegant walled gardens, two tennis courts, a putting green and a croquet lawn. Greywalls boasts ten golf courses within five miles, which include; Gullane, Luffness, North Berwick, The Renaissance and Archerfield.
Celebrated Michelin starred chef Albert Roux will also be launching his Chez Roux restaurant at Greywalls this May. Serving ‘French classical cuisine with a flair and lightness, using local product as much as possible’, Chez Roux will serve delights such as Scottish Lobster Tail with Verveina and Apricots and Lobster Vermouth Jus. The delicious dishes will be enjoyed in the hotels dining room, overlooking the 10th tee at Muirfield.
Greywalls is opening on 1st May 2010 with double rooms starting from £215 per night including VAT and full Scottish breakfast.
