Golfbreaks.com, Europe’s largest golf travel company, has announced it is to build on its support of PGA Pros from the UK and Europe by launching a series of four-day Pro-Am events at high-quality destinations across Europe.
Already an Official Supplier to the Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA) and the Official Golf Travel Company of the PGAs of Europe, Golfbreaks.com has an enviable reputation for delivering industry-leading quality and service, both of which helped the Windsor-based company to record trading in 2009.
Golfbreaks.com has initially announced five four-day Pro-Am events for 2011 – each with a £10,000/€12,000 prize fund – and plans to add more destinations to the program throughout the year.
Jim Long, Director of PGA Relations at Golfbreaks.com, said: “Having listened to the market, and in order to suit today’s busy professional and amateur golfer, we are introducing a shorter four day/three round Pro-Am format. This means less time away from work and a lower Pro-Am price point, while keeping prize money at a very attractive level.”
With joint sponsorship for each Pro-Am from Bushnell, Golfbidder and Bollé, the initial Golfbreaks.com calendar for 2011 reads:
