Golfasian screengrabThe year 2012 has been another record breaking year for Golfasian, Asia’s leading inbound golf tour operator, with double digit growth in many aspects of the company, in an economy where many other tour operators are closing their doors.

Golfasian Co., Ltd, a privately held company, reported this week their 2012 growth figures, resulting in an increase of 52% year on year over 2011.

Further, Golfasian reported an increase of 43% in the number of golf travelers serviced throughout its destinations Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Bali. “The large number of returning clients, positive word of mouth, a stable political landscape in our region, as well as a continuously growing interest for golf in Asia has helped us to increase the number of inbound passengers,” explained Pascal Orczech, Golfasian’s Director of Business Development.

“Even though a large amount of online booking sites pose a threat to the travel industry, we found the opposite to be true as many of our clients are looking for a niche specialist golf tour operator who can offer services beyond the fixed services of online travel sites,” emphasized the Managing Director of Golfasian, Mark Siegel. He continued to explain that “such services include personal reservations and booking support, a company owned transportation fleet with English speaking drivers, a 24/7 hotline, ability to make multi-destination and multi-country packages, access to private member clubs, and more.”

“In order to meet the continuous demand of the growing golf tourism industry and to maintain outstanding customer service throughout the sales process as well as on the ground in Asia, the company has expanded their infrastructure over 40% in the past 12 month,” noted Boyd Barker, who joined Golfasian as General Manager in October 2012.

The company has also added two further destinations, Laos and Myanmar, to its destination portfolio, which now covers Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Bali. “One of Golfasian’s strength is the sheer limitless variety of golf holiday itineraries one can book through us within the South East Asia and Indochina Region, knowing that you will receive the same high operational service in every destination you book through us,” noted Pascal Orczech. “The plan for 2013 is to expand services in all destinations as well as expand into Southern China,” he concluded.

Golfasian, who will enter its 15th year in 2013, has been recognized as the leading golf tour operator in Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos & Myanmar. Golfasian is a pure-play golf tour operator providing services to both individuals and groups and acting as the ground handler for more than 50% of the world’s golf tour operators who sell South East Asia.
