9.00am 1st October 2001 - Travel

Gleneagles is very honoured to have been selected as the host venue for the.40th Ryder Cup Matches in 2014. It will be a particularly special year for the Resort, which will celebrate its 90th anniversary in the same year.

“The Board’s decision is cause for great celebration at Gleneagles and throughout the Scottish golfing community in general,” said a spokesman. “It also provides Gleneagles with a fabulous opportunity to strengthen the existing platform the Resort already holds within the golf world.”

In celebration of being selected as the venue for the 2014 Ryder Cup, The Gleneagles Hotel has invited golfers to play the selected course during the month of October 2001 at unique discounted prices.

Non-resident golfers will be able to test their skills on the challenging PGA Centenary Course for 2014 pence (£20.14) per round per person. Both offers are valid from 1st to 31st October inclusive and are subject to availability. Reservations and golf bookings can be made by contacting the Resorts’ sales team on freephone 0800 704 705.
