Links with History websiteGolfers can enjoy winter golf at its finest in the Kingdom of Fife thanks to a special offer from Links with History.

The unique initiative is offering a special rate of £90 for golf at all four member clubs between November 1 and March 31, 2014. A minimum of two courses must be booked to take advantage of this offer.

Links with History is a partnership between four of Scotland’s finest and most historic golf clubs, which are all close to St Andrews, the home of golf: Scotscraig, Lundin, Ladybank and Crail.

The links and heathland courses are renowned for their all-year-round playability and the fact that golfers can normally play from the full greens and tees and without mats.

David Roy, the Managing Secretary of Crail Golfing Society, said, “Links with History brings together four historic clubs and five fantastic courses in the heart of Scotland. We offer outstanding value for some very high quality golf courses.

“The winter offer is a great opportunity for golfers to come and sample these courses at a special rate and benefit from playing on the links and heathland terrain which remains extremely playable throughout all but the worst winter conditions. I would urge anyone looking to keep their hand in over the winter to take advantage of this excellent offer.”

Three of the five Links with History courses have been qualifying venues for the Open Championship. Crail Golfing Society is the seventh oldest golf club in the world, dating back to 1786, and Scotscraig Golf Club is the 13th oldest club in the world.

The courses offer a mix of challenging links golf at the Balcomie and Craighead courses at Crail and Lundin, a testing combination of links and heathland golf at Scotscraig and a beautiful but demanding tree-lined heathland layout at Ladybank.

The Links with HistoryGolfPass enables golfers to book two, three or four rounds of golf. The booking can be made either by phone, email or an online booking form on the Links with History website. Payment is made by cheque or by credit card and no money is requested until the booking has been confirmed.
