Four clubs team up to create ‘Golf East Mallorca’ brand

10.11am 3rd December 2021 - Travel

The Spanish island of Mallorca is set to be further enhanced as golfing destination by the launch of a new alliance featuring some of the leading golf clubs and resorts on the island.

Club de Golf Alcanada, Pula Golf Resort, Capdepera Golf and Club de Golf Son Servera have joined forces to create ‘Golf EastMallorca‘, a new collaboration showcasing the many delights of playing golf in the north-east of the popular Balearic Island.

The four courses are even able to be booked together in less than five minutes thanks to the newly opened booking system, allowing customers to experience all that the partnership has to offer with just a single reservation process.

The coalition is excited to welcome new clients, and with assistance from hotel association Cala Millor, which will work with the newagreed season dates and package rates, they believe that they can show consumers the best that the island has to offer golfers.

Club de Golf Son Servera, which exudes a relaxed atmosphere, with a wide mix of nationalities in their members and a large number of visitors, has a junior section that is recognised throughout Spain for producing many national champions and winners on the international stage.

The course there also includes the challenging “Pine Trap”, a well-renowned combination of four holes that are cut into the original pine forest, where it uses extra narrow fairways and huge elevation changes to test even the most accomplished of golfer.

As a further challenge for the more experienced players, Club de Golf Alcanada and Pula Golf Resort have both been the host of numerous high-profile professional and amateur events, with a prestigious list of winners.

Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jnr, Alcanada offers players spectacular views of the lighthouse from almost all of the 18 holes onthe course, as well as housing a terraced restaurant which basks in the sea breeze of Alcudia Bay.

The only resort amongst the four, Pula offers golfers the all-round experience with a two-layered driving range, as well as its spacious hotel rooms and Sera De Pula restaurant, which is supplied by a 6000 sqm vegetable garden.

For Capdepera Golf, the club prides itself on offering an experience for players of all skill levels, comprising a mix of easier holes down in the valley and more challenging holes that go up into the beautiful hills of the Mallorquin Llevant mountains. The signature hole is the 15th, which offers panoramic views of Mallorca, and has been continuously voted the most beautiful hole on the island by Mallorca Magazine.

The Golf East Mallorca brand will also be hosting an annual golf tournament called the International GEM Cup, which is played by the most talented international amateur players at one of the GEM venues and is valid for the World Amateur Golf Ranking.
