After selling out almost immediately the last two years, entries for the 2014 Golfbreaks.com Pro-Am are now being welcomed by Europe’s leading golf travel company.

The 2014 Pro-Am will take place in Spain from 6th to 9th February, with Pro’s – accompanied by teams of three amateurs – competing on some of the best courses in the Costa del Sol for a prize fund of £10,000 (€11,500). Prizes for the amateurs will be provided by Golfbidder, who are joint sponsors of the event.

The three-day Pro-Am will be contested at the 1997 Ryder Cup venue and perennial No.1 course in Europe, Valderrama, as well as the exclusive La Reserva and Almenara, which is also highly ranked.

The Pro-Am is open to PGA Professionals from any country and is totally FREE to enter. The amateur golfer price is from £825/€949, which includes three rounds of golf, three nights’ B&B accommodation in the 4-star Hotel Almenara and two tournament buffet meals with drinks.

The Pro-Am is a very cosmopolitan affair, with the 2013event – which took place in February at the same venues – featuring no less than 23 teams from nine countries across Europe.

The team event was won by Swedish quartet Peter Dahlberg (Pro), Tore Sviland, Anders Brantberg & Torbjörn Malmsjö, while David Cranage – the Pro from the Menzies Welcombe in Warwickshire, UK – claimed the individual honours.

The Pro-Am is a great trip for both Pro’s and amateurs alike, offering a mixture of fantastic competition, superb golf and plenty of social activity.  The three-day event is also just one of the ways in which Golfbreaks.com – which was last month presented as a PGA Partner company – works with PGA Pro’s.

In addition to this fantastic team event, Golfbreaks.com also runs Inspection Trips, enabling Pro’s to sample foreign resorts before taking clients on tuition or social golf breaks, as well as helping hundreds of Pro’s across Europe to arrange every aspect of their group trips.

Places are limited so call the Golfbreaks.com Pro Relations team on +44 (0) 1753 754 355 or visit www.golfbreaks.com/pga-pro
