The Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa in St Andrews has been named in fifth position in the Top Resorts category for Europe in the prestigious Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards for 2010.
“I’m absolutely delighted to see how well Scotland as a destination has fared in the Condé Nast Traveller’s Readers’ Choice Awards this year. We are personally absolutely thrilled with this accolade,” said Debbie Taylor, Managing Director of the Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa.
“To be named in the Top 20 European Resorts and at position five no less, is fantastic – this is a real testament to our team’s commitment and dedication in achieving excellence.”
The Old Course is especially delighted by this achievement as it is voted for by a discerning audience, the readers of Condé Nast Traveler, who are perceived as a well-travelled and knowledgeable group of individuals.
Debbie Taylor joined the property in September 2007 to spearhead its future development as one of the world’s leading golf and spa resorts. As Chairman of the British Hospitality Association Scotland Committee, Chair of Fife Tourism Partnership, a Director of the Institute of Hospitality, and a Master Innholder, Debbie places great emphasis on the importance of staff training and development.
