ClubstoHire.com, the award-winning golf club rental company, has launched a brand new website following a record year in 2012 when it helped 30,000 golfers across Europe to reduce travel costs and enjoy their golf.
“The new site provides golfers looking to travel economically with a faster, more comprehensive service than the original version and has a much larger capacity to cope with our growing level of bookings,” said CEO Tony Judge.
The original site was launched in July 2010 with the help of brand ambassador and investor Paul McGinley, Europe’s recently appointed Ryder Cup captain.
It alerted golfers travelling to the Algarve via Faro airport to the benefits of the innovative rental service. Since then, ClubstoHire.com has helped save golfers nearly £1m in additional airline baggage charges and provided sets of the latest clubs at popular golfing destinations across Europe for as little as €35 per week.
The new-look website, which offers golfers the chance to book their clubs at 14 airports across the Mediterranean, went live today and one of the first golfers to use it will be Julian Sowerby, ClubstoHire’s very first customer in 2012.
“I have to say the service was amazing – right from when I logged on to the website and all the way through to getting the clubs in Faro,” said Julian, who plays off an 18 handicap and lives in Chester. “I remember other golfers lugging their heavy clubs through the airport and I couldn’t believe my luck when I strolled into this smart shop and picked up some brand new Callaway clubs.

The new website offers travelling golfers the chance to hire out the latest clubs from leading manufacturers like TaylorMade, Callaway, Mizuno, Wilson and MD Golf. TaylorMade is supplying the very latest Tour-proven R1 and RBZ2 Razor clubs for the rental sets, while the new Mizuno JPX-825 range has just been added to the range of clubs on offer.
