Le Touquet Golf Resort’s Le Manoir Hôtel – voted France’s Best Golf Hotel in 2017 and 2018* – has concluded phase two of its major refurbishment project, with a chic modern bar, lounge and reception area marking a new era for the historic hotel. Long fashioned after a traditional English manor house, Le Manoir Hôtel, has been reborn
as a contemporary boutique establishment.
Refurbishment began in 2016 with the hotel’s restaurant, Le Table du Manoir, which was revived in an elegant winter garden theme. Phase two sees the ground floor completely transformed. Dark wood-panelled walls and rustic furniture have been replaced with an open-plan bar and lounge area, drenched in light, with bold colours accentuating exposed beams and original manor-house features. Rich hues of blue and yellow are punctuated by vibrant patternwork and splashes of orange and purple, bringing accent to the hotel’s new contemporary design.
CEO Laurent Boissonnas said: “Le Touquet Golf Resort has such a rich history and enduring reputation among golfers, but it is thrilling to watch our investment raise the standard of quality across the resort and create a genuine 21st century golf destination.”
The refurbishment of Le Manoir Hôtel is part of an ongoing multi-million Euro renovation programme across Le Touquet Golf Resort, which has already seen the award-winning restoration of La Mer (The Sea), France’s No. 1 links course, and construction of a bold new architect-designed clubhouse.
Le Touquet Golf Resort provides 45 holes of outstanding golf surrounded by a natural landscape of sand dunes, pine forests and big skies. Only an hour’s drive from the Eurotunnel’s Calais Terminus along the A16, it is an easily accessible destination for golfers from the UK, Belgium and The Netherlands, as well as the rest of France.
